Welcome Amelia

Greetings all,

I am happy to announce the arrival of my our newest family member - Amelia Rai Fitzpatrick. Our little bundle of joy was born 12/15/06, at 10:30 am. She weighed in at 7 lbs, 12 oz, 19.75 inches long and has a ton of dark hair! Both Mom and her are doing great and we are happy to be home recovering.

We have a lot going on this week as usual. We have had several visits and are excited for my mom to arrive on Friday. Our Christmas plans are full as well, as we head to Albany for Christmas eve to spend time with Kari's family, then it's back to our house for Christmas day. My Dad, Alex and Kristen are coming over Christmas day to hangout and have dinner.

This is a special Christmas for us with the arrival of Amelia. In addition we have been very happy to have several friends over for dinner recently and are looking forward to more friends and family time together. This also marks our last Christmas in this house if all goes as planned. We are on schedule to be in our new house next fall, and are very excited about having a new place to celebrate all or our holidays.

Attached are some photos of our new addition. Enjoy. By for now.

Tis the Season

Too long it's been since my last post. Life is busy and only going to get busier. In 7 days we expect the arrival of our second daughter. We are extremely excited and can't wait to see our new family member. Izzy is more than ready to be a big sister and spends her time trying to convince Kari and I that she can hold the baby by herself, and can do while standing up as well. These details will need to be negotiated in the normal Izzy negotiation fashion . . stay tuned for results.

Izzy has been going to a new daycare four about 1.5 months. Anna (our previous daycare provider) grew ill so we found another solution. The place is about 5 blocks from our house and Izzy is loving it. There are about 10 kids there, and she sees it as "school". She's very social, so this environment is great for her. It offers lessons, outings and other positive stimuli as well as structure. It's nice to see her happy.

Christmas is always a fun time for us, and now that we have children, it's even more special. This year my mom is coming to visit for about 5 days and we can't wait. It will be nice to have Grandma around, and I am sure she's excited to be apart of our Christmas holiday this year.

In other news, I believe Kari and I have finally decided on a builder for our house. We are very excited and are looking forward to starting. At this rate with permits, drawings and overall building, I expect we'll be moving into our new house toward the end of next summer. . . sheesh! It's a long road but I know in the end it will be worth it.

As for everything else; it's steady as she goes. Kari and I are attempting to get work squared away before taking some time off for baby #2.

I'll post pics as soon as possible.
