Housing 101

Build it and they will come! That's funny. Kari and I have been working hard to figure out if we can actually build our own home. At this point we are waaay over budget and an scrambling to see if we can afford to build. It's not an easy process but we won't give up.

Our plans are close to being finalized and we are getting even closer on selecting our finishes. In the end it will all be worth it, but wow what an education.

We've learned a lot and I don't regret any of our "growing pains" up to this point. When we're not talking about the house or chasing Izzy we still ponder what to name the next edition to the Fitzy clan. Izzy has some ideas: "Fenna", "Kenta" and "Sensa". Not the most conventional names, but it's nice to see she's creative.

That's all for now folks.

Ok, lets try this again. Here's our blog and things are good.

Kari has a basketball under her shirt and keeps telling me she's pregnant. She's trustworthy, so I'll take her word for it. We are expecting sometime around Christmas eve, and we are very excited. Another girl to add to the household and everyone is looking forward to it. Izzy can't wait to be a big sister and sometimes insists she has a baby in her belly too.

We are working hard on building/desiging our new home. So far we are only about $90,000 over budget so no worries . .lol. We have a ways to go until the design and budget are finalized, but I am hoping for the end of October.

Both Kari and I are working hard as usual and are finding great satisfaction from our jobs. I finally feel I am in a good spot, and the work is great, but at the same time challenging . . careful what you wish for :)

Football season is here and we are beginning to see signs of fall. Great time of the year and we look forward to the holiday season which is just around the corner.

Included are a few pics of Izzy. These are about 3 months old, but she's just as cute now :)

That's it - bye for now.
