Happy New Year
Hello All,
The new year is hear and all is well. Just a quick update on our latest follies.
We are not as active as normal as you can imagine. Amelia is a great baby and we adore her. This month has been the month of visits. Having a new child offers us the chance to step back and be thankfully for our friends and family. Several hosted dinners and social visits have kept us busy lately. We are very lucky to have such good friends and family who visit often and share their lives with us.
We traveled down to Albany for Maynard's birthday recently. Good times; a house full of kids with sugar fueling the frenzy. We stopped by the Dan and Lara's place for a new years day get together and got to visit with them a bit; always nice to see them. Izzy has spent some time at "school" during the first parts of the day. She loves it and it gives Kari some time to spend with Amelia and catch up on her rest . . . even though she's always finding other things to do. :)
We also had a chance to enjoy some visits to the Library while Grandma Judy was around and that was a great time as well. Who knew you could check out books rather than buying them all the time! :) Izzy loves the library but is still working on the "quite" aspect. She'll figure it out!
Of course we are still moving ahead on the house plans. We are finalizing drawings and will begin the permitting process in February. We hope to break ground in March, so keep your fingers crossed.
This January marks one year of service for me at Regence. I love my job and even though I am fighting sleep deprivation, I still manage to look forward to our new Web projects and my ever growing role in them. Kari is attempting to enjoy her time off and she still plans to go back half time (working from home) after the first 6 weeks.
So that's it for us; just a quick update. Stay tuned . . .pictures will follow.
